PRAGUE – February 13, 2018 – GE Aviation and Czech Technical University in Prague signed a collaborative agreement that will help the University’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering program (CVUT) build a preventative health and maintenance monitoring system for modern turboprop engines, investigate future aerospace manufacturing technologies and enhance the education of students.
GE has spent the last 100 years building GE Aviation into a leading force in the aerospace industry. Since it was founded in 1918, the business unit, which brought in $27 billion in revenue last year, has introduced key innovations.
PRAGUE – December 27, 2017 – Milestone accomplished on schedule; certification begins in 2018. GE Aviation’s Advanced Turboprop engine, the first clean-sheet turboprop engine to hit the Business and General Aviation (BGA) market in more than 30 years, successfully completed its first engine test run at GE Aviation’s facility in Prague, Czech Republic, on Friday (December 22).
Ural Works of Civil Aviation (UWCA), of Ekaterinburg, Russia, signed an agreement with GE Aviation to become an H Series Authorized Service Center (ASC). UGZA will provide MRO services including line maintenance, training and on-wing heavy repairs on GE H Series turboprop engines from their home location.
GE Aviation and United Engine Corporation today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore turboprop engine business opportunities, as well as identify areas of synergy for growing a turboprop portfolio in the Russian market. The signing took place today during the Czech and Russian Presidential meetings in the presence of Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Miloš Zeman, President of Czech Republic.
